Laconia Athletic & Swim Club Produces $100k in Personal Training Sales

The Laconia Athletic & Swim Club in Laconia, New Hampshire started with the Pro Fitness Program in May 2011. They are a 25,000 square foot facility with just over 1200 members. Their best previous month in personal training sales was $12,396 and their best overall year was $108,547. In their first full year with the Pro Fitness Program in 2012 they did a remarkable $386,439.

I hope that the club’s members get an opportunity to read this blog and appreciate the amount of work and commitment from the staff and ownership to deliver this educational based service driven program. Owners Tom and Lori Oakley has been strong supporters of our philosophy and core values from the start and believe their members are now getting a real chance at achieving long term measurable results. In the process, more jobs have been created to meet the demands of fitness consultations and personal training. Staff are finally able to attain financially rewarding positions and work full time in the industry of their choice. That is just more good news for the community and members of Laconia Fitness.

At the end of last year the increased exposure of members to education, results and knowledge produced some incredible results. The Pro Fitness Trainers of the Year, Jay Londer completed 1769 one hour personal training sessions. Think of the incredible impact on the lives of these members and think of the benefit to the entire community in terms of increased productivity, reduced health care costs and increase quality of life. Beacuse the club has taken such a strong stance on not allowing anyone to purchase a membership without undergoing a full fitness screening and consultation, they have become the first organization in their market to provide a real truthful solution to the age old problem of health clubs simply selling memberships and not getting results.

At the end of last year, because of the increased demand for the program, the organization brought on Denise Ploof to manage the department and the job position of Fitness Director for the Pro Fitness Program was totally redesigned. The new focus and commitment of Denise to the improvement of her Fitness Consultants and Trainers led to the biggest month in company history with $101,444 in total PT sales for the month of January.
